Unleash your child’s inner artisan this autumn! In our hands-on Gift Factory Craft Program. Students in 3rd through 8th grade will spend the season handcrafting beautiful, high-quality holiday gifts that family and friends will treasure. From vibrant stained glass pictures and charming paper lanterns that will illuminate a room to other personalized gifts that can be geared toward any holiday, these aren’t your typical school-glue crafts. Participants will learn real makers’ techniques to create impressive, professional-looking keepsakes. Give your child the joy of giving something they truly poured their heart into, and prepare to hear: “You made this?!” Spaces are limited, so register today to start crafting holiday magic!
Time: Wednesdays, November 11–December 16. 4:30–6:30 PM. 6 sessions.
Place: La Grande Park building.
Grades: 3–8
Cost: $190 plus $10 materials fee paid in cash on first day of program.
About the Teacher: Sue Vlkovic is a long time resident of Scotch Plains and an English/Special Education teacher at Hillsborough High School with over 30 years of teaching experience. She has run various craft programs throughout her career for different camps and summer enrichment programs as well as for events within SPF schools and scout organizations. I pride myself on providing a safe and encouraging space for young creators to explore. Every student will leave with unique, personal projects and a newfound confidence in their crafting skills.
