It’s an exciting week of exploring painting with Acrylics. We will learn how to mix colors and talk about good composition and artistic techniques. Smock or clothes that can get dirty is a must!
Everyone will be given a canvas and the opportunity to either create a landscape painting or an abstract. We will learn the process of becoming a successful painter and be inspired by well-known artists. With my direction, we will select a photo to paint from that speaks to the individual artist. All materials will be there to work with. In the end, each student’s artwork will be beautiful and unique. I look forward to working with the future artists of the world!

About the teacher: Kiran K. Dhaliwal CID
My love and education for Fine Art have been intertwined in my life since I was a child. Having grown up here in Fanwood and then migrating to Scotch Plains you can see my love for my community! In my professional life, I have an Interior Design career that has spanned 40 years. Since 2017 I have been expanding my knowledge in Fine Arts at The Center of Visual Arts in Summit NJ and before that at Montclair State College, I also continue to learn at workshops throughout this area and beyond. My work has been seen in galleries in Chicago, NYC, Maryland, and various installations in NJ. The body of my work is mostly in oils, but I paint in acrylics and use mixed materials as well.
