It’s an exciting week of exploring art! Smock or clothes that can get dirty is a must. During the 1st part of the week, we will design and make a wonderful sculpture from paper and found objects. We will discuss color and shapes and create a way. All materials will be there to work with. Our 2nd project is a mixed material collage created from paints and other materials. The children will be shown examples and exposed to artists using this technique. Everyone will be given a canvas to work on and we will discuss and sketch out their composition with my direction. In the end, their artwork will be beautiful and unique to the student. Cannot wait to create art with this group!

My love and education for Fine Art have been intertwined in my life since I was a child. Having grown up here in Fanwood and then migrating to Scotch Plains you can see my love for my community! In my professional life, I have an Interior Design career that has spanned 40 years. Since 2017 I have been expanding my knowledge in Fine Arts at The Center of Visual Arts in Summit NJ and before that at Montclair State College, I also continue to learn at workshops throughout this area and beyond. My work has been seen in galleries in Chicago, NYC, Maryland, and various installations in NJ. The body of my work is mostly in oils, but I paint in acrylics and use mixed materials as well.
