In this camp, students will learn and combine aspects of realistic figure drawing with cartooning basics. Students will first gain an understanding of the anatomy of the human figure and then transform those characteristics into a self-portrait with cartoon specific proportions, which will become a moveable figure inserted into three personalized scenes from the artist’s life.
• Demonstrate the understanding of a figure in motion through gesture drawing
• Learn to use microns, illustration markers and watercolor paint
• Complete an interactive drawing with your cartoon self
